MAIN OBJECTIVE OF POSITION
Assist the WASH logistician expatriate for designing, implementing, following up and improving the WASH activities in AlZahara hospital.
FUNCTIONAL AND HIERARCHICAL LINES
Report hierarchically and functionally to the WASH Logistician expatriate.
Collaborate with all the departments according to the logistics needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
RESPONSIBILITY:
She/ He will be responsible to implement the Water Hygiene Sanitation (WHS) activities according to the defined strategy.
TASKS
LOGISTICS IN THE HOSPITAL:
• Supervise the works (construction/plumber…) in the hospital.
• Be able to budget rehabilitation works according to the market prices.
• Participate in communication / strategy meetings in the hospital.
SUPPLY
• Participate to the supply chain together with logistics department following the MSF supply guidelines.
• Find different quotations for rehabilitation works according to the defined needs.
• Negotiate and establish terms of contracts with work companies or workers previous to the execution of the works.
SECURITY
• Transmit necessary information to the logistician regarding security management.
• Inform the logistician of any cultural information that could be relevant in the execution of the scheduled activities and in daily routine.
TRAININGS
• Participate in the organization and facilitation of trainings related to WHS activities to the Hospital staff.
OTHERS
• Participate in office meetings when required or in absence of the responsible.
• Translate the conversation in the hospital to the logistician in absence of the translator.
• Flexibility to fulfil any other required task out of this job profile.
PROFESIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Education:
• Qualification in water and sanitation works management or technical degree in construction/civil engineering.
Languages:
• Arabic and good English, included technical, spoken and written.
Knowledge and experience:
• Good knowledge of area of construction and/or water and sanitation and/or civil engineering.
• Experience in works supervision and works follow up.
• Desirable experience with other NGOs.

• Understanding and willingness to share the organization values.
• Willingness to work in a health environment oriented to mother and child care.
